Ripon College is a private undergraduate liberal arts and sciences college located in the historic town of Ripon, Wisconsin.

Founded in 1851 by Former New York State Legislator David Mapes and townspeople, the College has a long tradition of excellence in facilitating transformational interdisciplinary learning within its beautiful century-old buildings and in communities near and far. The intentionally small residential campus enrolls some 1,000 bright, high-achieving young men and women from nearly every state and from countries around the world.

All courses are taught by faculty members, 97 percent of whom have a Ph.D. or other terminal degree in their chosen field. Students benefit from intimate class sizes, averaging a faculty-to-student ratio of 12:1. An overwhelming majority of students (95 percent) indicate they are satisfied or very satisfied with the amount of attention they receive from faculty, who also provide direct academic, career and club advising, and collaborate on serious research pursuits.

The rigorous liberal arts curriculum and active residential campus prepares students of diverse interests for lives of productive, socially responsible citizenship. Coursework challenges students to examine questions in-depth, identify patterns of logic and reasoning, think critically, consider multiple contexts, and pursue independent research and present findings publicly.

Graduates of the College go on to serve in a variety of roles and have achieved notoriety at the highest levels of national and international government, politics, medicine, finance, the arts, business and in a host of other professional fields. An incredible 96 percent of graduates are employed or in professional school six months after graduation, and the acceptance rate to medical school is 80 percent – twice the national average.

Nestled in the heart of the Green Lake region of Wisconsin – a premier year-round destination for outdoor enthusiasts – the College’s 250-acre tree-lined campus is centrally located within an hour to hour-and-a-half drive of each of the state’s three largest cities: Milwaukee, Madison and Green Bay. The nearest airport is located 45 minutes away in Appleton, Wisconsin.

Naked Mole Rats in a World of Darkness, a comedy play by Mike Folie, will be presented No. 15, 16 and 18 by the Ripon College Department of Theatre in Benstead Theatre at C.J. Rodman Center for the Arts on the Ripon College campus. Performances begin at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday, and a special matinee at 2 p.m. Saturday. Area students participate in Ripon College comedy production

The production will open at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 4, in Benstead Theatre, C.J. Rodman Center for the Arts, on the Ripon College campus. The show also will run at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 5; and at 2 and 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 7. Ticket information is available by calling 920-748-8791. The widely acclaimed comedy play Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike, by Christopher Durang, will open the 2017-18 theatre season at Ripon College. It is one of the most lauded and beloved Broadway plays of recent years. Some of the show's elements are humorous adaptations of themes from works of Anton Chekhov. Vanya and his adopted sister Sonia live a quiet life in the Pennsylvania farmhouse where they grew up, but their peace is disturbed when their movie star sister Masha returns unannounced with her 20-something boy toy, Spike. A weekend of rivalry, regret and raucousness begins. The play won numerous awards, including the 2013 Tony Award for Best Play; Outer Circle Critics Award for Best Play; Drama League Award for Best Production of a Play; Drama Desk Award for Best Play; New York Drama Critics Circle Award for Best Production; and Off-Broadway Alliance Award for Best Play.

The Ripon College Collegium Musicum , a vocal ensemble, will perform at 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 19, in Demmer Recital Hall, C.J. Rodman Center for the Arts, on the Ripon College campus. Selections will include three works by John Downland: "What if I Never Speede," "Wilt thou, unkind" and "Toss not my Soul." Other selections will be "Four arms, two necks, one wreathing," by Thomas Weelkes; "Three Elizabethan partsongs," by Ralph Vaughan Williams; "Mille regretz," by Josquin des Prez: "Tant que vivray," by Claudin de Sermisy; "Chansons francaises," by Francis Poulenc; and "Six Chansons on Original French Poems by Rainer Maria Rilke," by Paul Hindemith.
