LOCAL ANNA ALVIN INDUCTED INTO RIPON COLLEGE ATHLETICS HALL OF FAME

Ripon, WI (09/09/2026) — RIPON, Wis. - Ripon College Athletics is proud to announce the induction of Anna Alvin '11, Beaver Dam native, into the Ripon College Athletics Hall of Fame, recognizing her standout career as one of the most prolific offensive forces in program history for Red Hawks volleyball.

A four-year force at the net, Alvin led the Red Hawks in kills in each of her four seasons, a mark of sustained excellence that few in program history can claim. Her consistency and firepower earned her three All-Conference selections over her career, including a first-team nod and two second-team honors.

Alvin's breakout came during her senior campaign in 2010, when she was named Midwest Conference (MWC) Player of the Year after a season that ranked 22nd nationally in the NCAA in both kills per set and points per set. That same season, she outpaced every other player in the conference by 130 kills - a gap that still stands as one of the widest single-season margins in league history. Her senior-year total remains the third-most single-season kills in Ripon volleyball history.

Alvin's excellence wasn't limited to a single season. Her 2009 campaign ranks sixth all-time in single-season kills for the program, and she also left her mark defensively, finishing with the fifth-most career blocks by any player in Ripon history.

Across her four seasons, Alvin tallied 1,323 career kills, the third-most in Ripon College history. Fifteen years after her final match for the Red Hawks, that total still ranks among the top thirty in Midwest Conference record books - a testament to the rare combination of power, consistency, and longevity she brought to the court.

Alvin's induction into the Hall of Fame, which took place during Ripon College's Alumni Weekend in June, cements her legacy as one of the defining players in Ripon College volleyball history.
