Lauren Hince, a member of Ripon College's class of 2018, majoring in Communication and Politics and Government from Blaine, MN partcipated in the Upper-Midwest regional ethics bowl competition. Hince is the child of Scott and Patti Hince of Blaine, MN .

The Ripon College Ethics Bowl Team placed first at the 2017 Regional Championship last weekend at Oakland University in Auburn Hills, Michigan. With an undefeated record, Ripon outscored the next closest team by more than 30 points.

Topics of debate included issues related to journalism, hormone testing at the Olympics, the Electoral College, suicide, the Keystone pipeline, granting legal personhood to rivers, immigration, and others.

The team Ripon now moves on to the National Ethics Bowl to be held in Chicago in March 2018.
