Katie Warczak of Oshkosh, WI, receives award at Ripon College Award Convocation

Katie Warczak, a Sophomore majoring in History and English at Ripon College from Oshkosh, WI, received the 2014 German Language Prize, Dr. Edwin W. Webster, Class of 1919, Scholarship, and the Forensic Award during the College's annual Awards Convocation, held April 23, 2013.

A cash award is given to the student who, in the opinion of the German department faculty, has achieved the best work in German language studies. Credit toward tuition is awarded to sophomores majoring in history. This award is given in memory of Professor Edwin Webster who returned to his alma mater to teach history and classics during a career spanning from 1921 to 1962. A Ripon College Bookstore gift card for the purchase of books is awarded to an outstanding student involved in forensics.

Warczak is the child of Mr. and Mrs. Michael W. Warczak of Oshkosh, WI.
