Erika Isaacson of Eau Claire, WI was part of Ripon College's regional championship Ethics Bowl Team

Erika Isaacson, a member of Ripon College's class of 2018, majoring in Chemistry with a minor in Spanish from Eau Claire, WI partcipated in the Upper-Midwest regional ethics bowl competition. Isaacson is the child of Paul and Bobbi Isaacson of Eau Claire, WI .

The Ripon College Ethics Bowl Team placed first at the 2017 Regional Championship last weekend at Oakland University in Auburn Hills, Michigan. With an undefeated record, Ripon outscored the next closest team by more than 30 points.

Topics of debate included issues related to journalism, hormone testing at the Olympics, the Electoral College, suicide, the Keystone pipeline, granting legal personhood to rivers, immigration, and others.

The team Ripon now moves on to the National Ethics Bowl to be held in Chicago in March 2018.
