Charlotte Lee of Vancouver Honored at Ripon College Awards Convocation

Charlotte Lee, a junior Theatre and History major from Vancouver, was recently honored at the 2012 Ripon College Awards Convocation, an annual event recognizing student achievement during the academic year. She is the daughter of Dr. A Daniel J. Lee and Mrs. Julie Sikkink Lee of Vancouver, Wash.

Lee received the following honor(s):

Membership in the Laurel Society. The Laurel Society is Ripon College's senior honorary organization, recognizing student achievement in all disciplines. Founded in 1965 as an honorary and service organization for junior and senior women only, it later welcomed men as well. While it has at times engaged in service activities on campus and in the community, its primary function is honorary.

The John F. Glaser Award. The John F. Glaser Award recognizes a junior who has shown distinction in the study of history. The award, given in memory of former professor of history Dr. John F. Glaser, includes a cash prize.
